THE COMPANY BEHIND THE TICKER
UniCapital Corporation specializes in the origination, purchase, sale, and ongoing management of equipment leases, and also arranges structured financing solutions. Its primary focus areas within the equipment leasing sector include computer and telecommunications hardware, the middle market, and smaller-value transactions. Furthermore, the company offers administrative and processing services for leases. The scope of equipment covered by these leasing and financing arrangements is extensive, encompassing items such as computer and telecommunications systems, construction and manufacturing machinery, office equipment, tractor-trailers, printing equipment, vehicle wash facilities, and petroleum retail apparatus. Established in 1997, UniCapital Corporation is headquartered in Aventura, Florida. In December 2000, the company, along with nearly all its subsidiaries, initiated voluntary Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings under the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. As a result, UniCapital continues to manage its assets and operate its business as a "debtor in possession," subject to the oversight of the Bankruptcy Court.
