THE COMPANY BEHIND THE TICKER
Globally, u-blox Holding AG designs, manufactures, and distributes products and services focused on GPS and GNSS satellite positioning technologies for the automotive, industrial, and consumer markets. The company's operations are divided into two main segments: Positioning and Wireless Products, and Wireless Services. The Positioning and Wireless Products division is responsible for developing and selling integrated circuits (chips) and modules for both precise location finding and general wireless connectivity. Concurrently, the Wireless Services segment offers specialized wireless communication technology, including reference designs and software solutions. u-blox provides an extensive range of GPS/GNSS positioning hardware, such as satellite receiver chips and chipsets, receiver modules, development boards, and various types of antennas, including intelligent antennas. These products are utilized in numerous applications like navigation, automatic vehicle tracking, security systems, traffic control, location-based services, timing synchronization, and agricultural technology. Founded in 1997, u-blox Holding AG is headquartered in Thalwil, Switzerland.
