THE COMPANY BEHIND THE TICKER
Raízen S.A. operates as a comprehensive energy company with a global presence, extending its operations across Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, the broader Latin American region, North America, Asia, and Europe. Its activities are organized into three primary segments: Marketing and Services, Sugar, and Renewable. The Marketing and Services unit is responsible for the distribution and retail of both fossil and renewable fuels, primarily through a franchised network of Shell service stations. The Sugar segment encompasses the sourcing, production, sale, and commercialization of sugar. The Renewable segment focuses on the full value chain for ethanol, from its origination to production, sale, and trading. Additionally, it produces and distributes bioenergy, engages in the resale and trading of electric power, and generates and markets solar energy and biogas. Founded in 2011, the company maintains its main office in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
