NexTech FAS Technologies, Inc. specializes in the creation, manufacturing, distribution, and maintenance of high-precision coating systems, coupled with advanced metrology and automation technologies. These solutions primarily cater to the semiconductor and flat panel display (FPD) industries. The company is also the innovator behind FAS-Coat, a proprietary extrusion coating technology crucial for producing FPD substrates, also known as spinless, slot die, or slit coating. Their extensive product portfolio features various inspection and handling systems. These include Altair, designed to evaluate the consistency of particle detection on substrates; Aludra, which employs light scattering for particle inference on semiconductor reticles; and Orion, offering general inspection for semiconductor reticles and photomasks. For flat panel displays, FPDStar and the advanced NexTStar automated optical inspection system meticulously identify and map defects related to patterns, particles, and processing, with NexTStar noted for its breakthrough performance. Additionally, the company provides wafer handling solutions such as the Pegasu series of wafer sorters, which adhere to industry standards, along with upgrade kits like the Proteus Reticle Load Port and PST enhancements for wafer sorters. Beyond their core markets, NexTech's FAS-Coat coating systems are deployed to process substrates for a broader array of sectors, including multi-chip module, solar cell, biomedical, and other semiconductor applications. The company, headquartered in Austin, Texas, was formerly known as NexTech Solutions, Inc. before its name change in July 2007.
