THE COMPANY BEHIND THE TICKER
The NightShares 500 ETF (NSPY) typically aims to gain exposure to large-capitalization U.S. companies. Its primary strategy involves allocating its capital (including any borrowed funds) across several investment vehicles. This includes investments in exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that either hold or mirror the performance of major American corporations, direct holdings in prominent U.S. equities, and various derivative instruments. These derivatives consist of equity swaps, futures contracts, or options, whose underlying assets are either individual large-cap U.S. companies or a broader index composed of such firms. A key part of the fund's approach is to employ these derivatives specifically to capitalize on the "night effect" – a phenomenon describing certain price movements occurring outside of standard trading hours. When utilizing derivatives for this strategy, the fund also invests in U.S. Treasury securities and maintains appropriate collateral to manage its positions.
