THE COMPANY BEHIND THE TICKER
Headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG is a diversified port and logistics enterprise operating across Germany, the European Union, and on an international scale. Established in 1885 and now a subsidiary of HGV Hamburger Gesellschaft für Vermögens- und Beteiligungsmanagement mbH, the company structures its operations into four primary divisions: Container, Intermodal, Logistics, and Real Estate. Under its Container division, HHLA manages three container terminals in its home city of Hamburg, complemented by international facilities located in Odessa, Ukraine; Tallinn, Estonia; and Trieste, Italy. The Intermodal segment provides vital connectivity, linking key ports in the North and Baltic Seas, as well as the Northern Adriatic region with its extended inland networks. Beyond these core activities, the company's Logistics segment offers a broad array of specialized services. These include expert handling, advanced digital solutions, strategic consulting and management, process automation, additive manufacturing, and even airborne logistics. Furthermore, the Real Estate division focuses on the development, leasing, and administration of various properties. The company officially adopted its current name, Hamburger Hafen und Logistik Aktiengesellschaft, in 2005, having previously been known as Hamburger Hafen- und Lagerhaus-AG.
