The SMI 3Fourteen Full-Cycle Trend ETF (FCTE) seeks to outperform the S&P 500 index throughout entire market cycles by strategically investing in what it identifies as the most promising companies. Its portfolio typically comprises around 20 large-capitalization U.S. equities, all drawn from the S&P 500. Investment decisions are guided by the proprietary Full-Cycle Trend (FCT) strategy, which thoroughly evaluates stocks based on various quality and trend-related metrics. These include a company's capital efficiency (such as return on capital and return on investment), financial stability (like cash flow consistency), growth potential (earnings growth), market sentiment (momentum), and technical analysis (including linear regression and broader trend assessments). Each month, a theoretical model portfolio is constructed and published. The fund's adviser uses this model to rebalance holdings on a monthly basis, though they retain discretion to make additional adjustments or deviate from the model due to regulatory considerations or significant stock volatility.
