THE COMPANY BEHIND THE TICKER
The Abrdn Global Income Fund Inc. (FCO) is a U.S.-domiciled, closed-end mutual fund dedicated to fixed-income investments, established on June 28, 1991. Its primary oversight comes from Aberdeen Standard Investments (Asia) Limited, with co-management responsibilities shared by Aberdeen Standard Investments Australia Limited and Aberdeen Asset Managers Limited. The fund's investment mandate includes a global allocation to fixed-income markets, particularly focusing on debt securities issued in Commonwealth currencies and other international debt instruments. To assess its performance, the fund employs a custom benchmark comprising a blend of indices: 20% Bank of America Merrill Lynch Australian Government Bonds, 20% UK Government Bonds, 15% Canadian Government Bonds, 15% New Zealand Government Bonds, and 30% Global Emerging Markets Index.
