THE COMPANY BEHIND THE TICKER
BioSyntech, Inc. is dedicated to developing advanced biotherapeutic thermogels aimed at both repairing tissues and delivering therapeutic compounds. The company's key product pipeline features BST-CarGel, a biodegradable gel designed for cartilage repair; BST-InPod, intended for alleviating heel discomfort; BST-DermOn, for managing and healing chronic wounds; BST-Ossifil, used in bone void filling; BST-Ossifix, which provides structural support for bones; and BST-Disc, focused on restoring intervertebral discs. Beyond these, BioSyntech offers injectable products leveraging BST-Gel technology to precisely deliver biotherapeutics. Its technological assets also include Arthro-BST, an arthroscopic device for the non-destructive evaluation of cartilage degradation or repair, and Mach-1, a micromechanical testing system for assessing the properties of various tissues and materials. The company also manufactures ultra-pure chitosans under the Ultrasan brand and offers both manufacturing and analytical services. Founded in 1994 and based in Laval, Canada, BioSyntech Inc. initiated administration proceedings under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act on May 12, 2010, and is currently undergoing reorganization.
