AXIM Biotechnologies, Inc. specializes in the creation and distribution of advanced diagnostic solutions for healthcare, focusing on critical areas such as SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), ocular health, and cancer treatment. The company is currently developing rapid diagnostic assays that quantify functional neutralizing antibodies, which are essential for preventing the SARS-CoV-2 virus from attaching to human cells. Additionally, it offers serological diagnostic tests designed to detect neutralizing antibodies, thereby assessing the body's adaptive immune response to the virus, and is developing tests to identify inflammation biomarkers for the effective management of COVID-19 patients. For eye health, AXIM is pioneering quick, quantitative tear tests to measure Matrix metalloproteinase-9, an inflammatory marker associated with dry eye disease. In its oncology pipeline, the firm is advancing SBI-183, an anti-metastatic compound engineered to inhibit tumor cell growth and block the spread of cancer, as well as SPX-1009, another anti-metastatic therapy aimed at determining the levels of quiescin sulfhydryl oxidase I. Established in 2010, the company was formerly known as Axim International Inc. before officially changing its name to AXIM Biotechnologies, Inc. in July 2014, and it is headquartered in San Diego, California.
