THE COMPANY BEHIND THE TICKER
Toei Company, Ltd. is a prominent Japanese entertainment conglomerate, primarily engaged in the creation and distribution of films, television series, animated productions, and various other visual content across Japan. The company meticulously plans, develops, produces, and releases theatrical movies and special events. Its operations encompass managing its own network of cinemas, conducting online retail sales, offering physical media like DVDs and Blu-ray discs, and delivering digital video content. Toei also provides programming to its dedicated CS broadcasting station, the Toei Channel, as well as other broadcasting platforms, and licenses videogram rights to various stations. Furthermore, Toei grants extensive merchandising rights for a broad spectrum of products, including toys, clothing, everyday consumer items, food products, stationery, publications, music and video discs, games, arcade machines, and theme park attractions. Beyond its core media activities, the company oversees film studios, organizes diverse cultural events, offers real estate leasing services for both office and residential buildings, operates a golf course, and manages hotel properties. Toei Company, Ltd. was founded in Tokyo, Japan, in 1949.
